"Your concert is the talk of the village and they are delighted with the outcome, having raised in the order of £300."

  • Sunday 19th February, 2012 - Wilberforce Hall, Brighstone

A capacity audience turned out to support our concert in aid of the Community Library. The organisers deserve praise for the great effort they put in. Other events organisers would do well to follow their example. You can't improve on a full house.

In spite of some really duff false starts, the band made a good sound and played with verve and vitality. The atmosphere in the hall was fantastic. Such an enthusiastic audience made it a great pleasure to be there.

    Well done Brighstone.

This well attended concert generated a great atmosphere, and raised over £200 to further the community work of a lively, active Church. Thank you Fiddlers for a slick presentation and the ever more impressive sound you are making. I had some very positive feedback.

Who are we?

There is a small piece of Scotland living and thriving here on the Isle of Wight – in the form of the Isle of Wight Scottish Fiddlers.

The Isle of Wight Scottish Fiddlers is an open access community group dedicated to raising money for good causes, whilst giving its members an opportunity to enjoy playing the traditional fiddle music of Scotland and other countries. The group is almost entirely self-financing and does not charge for performances or travelling expenses when playing at concerts across the Isle of Wight.
