St Mildred's Church at Whippingham is in desperate need of a replacement heating system. The Fund Raising Committee are extremely active in their organisation of a range of fund raising activities to get the necessary finances accumulated. These include Coffee Mornings, Cake Sales and Concerts etc.

During the winter months the Church is too cold to hold evening events. So the Fund Raising Committee negotiated the use of the nearby Priory School (formerly the Whippingham County Primary School) hall for the holding of the Scottish Fiddlers Concert on 15th March 2014.

The Concert was a sell-out success for the organisers, with circa 60  very enthusiastic people packed into the hall. The sale of tickets, raffle tickets and donations towards the interval refreshments amassed £330 towards the much needed replacement heating fund, and the organisers were highly delighted with the result and the entertainment provided.
